Manca ormai soltanto una settimana al rilascio della quinta pellicola della saga horror Scream, creata da Wes Craven. A seguito della pubblicazione del trailer, oltre che di foto da parte del cast sui social, i fan hanno iniziato a esprimere le prime impressioni online.
Forse sorprenderà alcuni sentire che l’uscita di un sequel horror a gennaio venga lodata, ma è esattamente ciò che sta accadendo! Coloro che hanno avuto occasione di vedere il film in anteprima hanno molto apprezzato i suoi colpi di scena e le sue rivelazioni, oltre alle uccisioni sanguinose; ma più di tutto, come abbiano adattato un cast completamente nuovo a personaggi “storici”.

I enjoyed #Scream, but Craven’s a tough act to follow. Despite being fun and surprisingly brutal, it plays it a little too safe to be truly great. The stakes and characters feel thin, and some strange decisions are made. Some major missed opportunities here.

Il codirettore Tyler Gillett aveva in precedenza parlato al sito cinematografico Bloody Disgusting. “Posso dire che in ogni angolo di questo film, durante le riprese, abbiamo saputo come servire i fan, dove porre i diversivi, e in che direzione vogliamo dirigere gli spettatori. Ovviamente, senza fare spoiler, possiamo certamente affermare che il trailer mostri a sufficienza quanto grandioso sarà. Parte di quello che amiamo della saga di Scream, come inoltre nel suo fandom, sono proprio i suoi spettatori, senza dubbio profondi. Riteniamo che parte del divertimento di questa esperienza è stata vedere le cose in un’ottica forense, cercando di indovinare chi sia l’assassino. In quanto devotissimi fan dei precedenti quattro capitoli, ci siamo molto impegnati per popolare il mondo di questo film.”
Neve Campbell tornerà, ovviamente, ancora una volta nei panni della leggendaria protagonista Sydney Prescott; insieme a lei, Courteney Cox interpreterà Gale Weathers e David Arquette Dewey Riley; tornerà inoltre Marley Shelton, incontrata solo nel quarto film, nella parte del sergente Judy Hicks.
Il nuovo Scream arriverà nelle sale statunitensi il 14 gennaio, mentre in quelle Italiane sarà disponibile dal 13 Gennaio.
