Warner Bros. ha effettuato delle anteprime di Aquaman a San Francisco e le prime reazioni sono buone, non ottime, dipingendo un quadro positivo per il prossimo film di casa DC Comics.
Molti dei tweet che portano informazioni di seconda mano, quindi riferiscono di commenti di persone che hanno effettivamente presenziato ai test screening descrivono il film come “buono ed è tutto quello in cui potevamo sperare.” ed è stato paragonato ad un film della fase 1 del Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ovviamente dato che si tratta di commenti che vengono da dei test screening è possibile che Wan e Warner Bros. decidano di aggiustare il tiro se per caso qualcosa non funzionasse nella versione del film mostrata.
Diretto da James Wan, nel film abbiamo Jason Momoa come Arthur Curry, Amber Heard come Mera, Patrick Wilson come Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe come Nuidis Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II come Black Manta, Temuera Morrison come Thomas Curry e Dolph Lundgren come Nereus. Negli Stati Uniti il film debutterà il 21 Dicembre mentre in Italia il 1° Gennaio.
