Si sono tenute questa notte, al San Diego Comic-Con, le premiazioni per gli Eisner Awards, gli Oscar del fumetto che portano il nome del leggendario Will Eisner, una delle icone del mondo dei fumetti, scomparso nel 2005.
In questa edizione i candidati con più nomination erano Monstress, di Marjorie Liu e Sana Takeda, e La mia cosa preferita sono i mostri, di Emil Ferris.
L’opera di Marjorie Liu e Sana Takeda si è alla fine accaparrata ben 5 Eisner Awards.
Tra i candidati erano presenti anche gli italiani Paolo Bacilieri (FUN) e Federico Bertolucci (Little Tails in the Savannah, con Frederic Brrémaud), che però non hanno ricevuto alcun premio.
