Action Comics #1000 si avvicina, ora Jim Lee, co publisher di DC Comics, e disegnatore della storia di Superman scritta da Brian Michael Bendis, condivide due pagine ancora in bianco e nero, senza colori e lettering.
Le due immagini raffigurano innanzitutto un nemico mai visto che affronta l’Uomo D’acciaio. Lee insieme alle immagini ha nuovamente detto che questa storia in 12 pagine non sarà solo una back up per il compleanno dell’Azzurrone ma anche il background da cui partirà la run di Bendis su Action Comics e su Superman, quindi sarà legato a Man of Steel.
