In attesa della notte degli Oscar, sono state annunciate le nomination ai Razzie Awards 2020, i premi assegnati ai peggiori film, attori, attrici e registi della passata stagione cinematografica. La cerimonia di premiazione dei 40° Golden Raspberry si terrà questa notte a Los Angeles.
Il film ad aver ottenuto il maggior numero di Nomination è stato, come da pronostici, Cats, che ha ottenuto ben 9 candidature, seguito da A Madea Family Funeral e Rambo: Last Blood con 8 candidature. Tra i nominati spiccano anche i nomi di HellBoy (5 candidature) e X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2 candidature). Anche il film candidato a 11 premi Oscar Joker ha ottenuto una nomination, ovvero quella al nuovo premio introdotto in questa edizione per la Peggior noncuranza per la vita umana e la pubblica sicurezza.
Infine abbiamo i candidati al Razzie Redeemer Awards, ovvero premio positivo assegnato ad attori che hanno vinto un Razzie negli scorsi anni che però nell’anno appena trascorso si sono resi protagonisti di un’ottima performance. I candidati sono Adam Sandler per “Diamanti Grezzi,” Eddie Murphy per “Dolemite Is My Name,” Keanu Reeves per “Toy Story 4” e “John Wick 3,” Jennifer Lopez per “Hustlers” e Will Smith per “Aladdin.”
