Nel corso del panel Marvel Animation al San Diego Comic-Con, sono state mostrate le prime immagini relativi a Spider-Man: Freshman Year, la serie animata che racconterà le avventure di Peter Parker prima degli eventi di Captain America: Civil War.
La serie animata, oltre a Peter Parker nei panni di uno Spider-Man alle prime armi, avrà, come da consuetudine per quanto riguarda l’amichevole arrampicamuri di casa Marvel, un cast veramente notevole di comprimari, villain ed amici del giovane Spidey.
Al momento, quello che è sicuro è che ci sarà Daredevil, che avrà la voce di Charlie Cox, interprete della serie tv sul Diavolo di Hell’s Kitchen, e che Nico Minoru dei Runaways sarà la migliore amica di Peter in questa serie, che arriverà nel 2024 su Disney+ e per la quale è già stata annunciata una seconda stagione, intitolata Spider-Man: Sophomore Year. Altri personaggi che potremo incontrare in Spider-Man: Freshman Year saranno Norman Osborn, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Doctor Strange.
