Il 2023 sta per volgere al termine e la stagione dei premi sta per iniziare. Sono state infatti annunciate oggi le nomination per l’edizione 2024 dei Golden Globe, 81ª edizione dei prestigiosi premi per il Cinema e la Televisione, prima edizione sotto la nuova guida della Golden Globe Foundation a seguito dello scioglimento della Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
La cerimonia di premiazione di quest’anno si terrà il 7 gennaio 2024 e, negli Stati Uniti, sarà trasmessa in diretta dal Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles su CBS e in streaming su Paramount+. Tra le novità di questa edizione troviamo l’introduzione di due nuovi premi, ovvero il Golden Globe al Miglior BlockBuster (Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures) e al Miglior Stand-Up Comedian (Best Stand-Up Comedian on Television).
Tra i film la pellicola ad aver riscosso il maggior numero di candidature è Barbie. Il film di Greta Gerwig ha infatti raccolto ben 9 nomination, seguito da Oppenheimer con 8, Killers of the Flower Moon e Povere Creature entrambi con 7 e Maestro con 4. Tra i film candidati figura anche Io Capitano, il film di Matteo Garrone vincitore del Leone d’Argento a Venezia che rappresenterà l’Italia nella categorian Miglior Film Internazionale. Tra le Serie TV invece è stata l’ultima stagione di Succession ad ottenere il maggior numero di candidature ai Golden Globe con ben 9 nomination, seguita da Only Murders in the Building e The Bear entrambe con 5 candidature.
